Titles a shopper, and Google, can actually read
VTO's products were listed by part number. We built a custom Odoo module that auto-generates descriptive titles from product attributes, which gave them a clean Google Shopping feed.

The problem
VTO's product names were internal part numbers. A customer landing on the catalog was, in the owner's words, "faced with a list of numbers they don't know what it means." The same names flowed into the Google Shopping feed, and Google Shopping rewards descriptive, human-readable titles. SKUs made the products hard to browse and nearly impossible to advertise.
What we built
Attribute-derived titles
A custom Odoo module that composes a descriptive product name from the product's own attributes (style, diameter, width, finish, bolt pattern) instead of the raw SKU.
e.g. V16585-C → Minilite 16×8 Classic, Silver, 5×114.3
Built to match the feed
Titles are generated to match Google Shopping's expectations, so the Merchant Center feed carries readable names automatically, with no manual per-product editing.
Driven by your existing data
Built as a proper Odoo module driven by the existing attribute data. It regenerates names as products change, with no separate spreadsheet to maintain.
Shipped to production
Deployed as v1.6.0 to the live store in July 2026, ahead of the paid-search launch it was built to enable.

Where it stands
The module is live and the Shopping feed now carries descriptive titles. Paid search is in active market testing. We're measuring click-through and conversion on the new feed before scaling spend. Results will be added here as the test matures.
